Dr. Michael Foss, a New Jersey native, completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Ursinus College, graduating Summa cum laude. He then moved south to attend LECOM Medical School in Bradenton, FL, during which he excelled academically, ultimately scoring in the top percentile of the United States Medical Licensing Exam, as well as being recognized for outstanding research. Following medical school, Dr. Foss completed a one-year internship with the University of Central Florida at Osceola Regional Medical Center. He then went on to complete a three-year dermatology training program in Orlando, FL via the KCU-GMEC/ADCS Consortium where he received extensive training in general and complex medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, laser surgery, injectable fillers, Botox, and medical hair restoration. During his residency he continued to shine clinically, surgically, and academically, consistently placing in the top percentile in his Board Certification examinations, as well as receiving a Top Scholar award, and being named one of ACR’s Outstanding Authors of 2022 due to his contributions to the medical literature. Additionally, in his last year of residency, Dr. Foss was crowned the American Academy of Dermatology Resident Jeopardy Grand Champion, a prestigious award, beating the best and brightest dermatology residents from across the nation at the AAD Annual Meeting in New Orleans.

Dr. Foss is published in numerous top medical journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and the International Journal of Dermatology, amongst others. He is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Medical Association. He currently serves the American Academy of Dermatology as a member of its Self-Assessment Task Force Committee. He is also a member of the editorial board for SKIN, The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine.

Outside of his work, Dr. Foss enjoys spending time with his fiancé and dog, golfing, fishing, traveling, and eating authentic local cuisine.
